If you subscribe to my Substack you probably know that I have, basically, just spent all day on telly. TalkTV this morning, then GB News, then Mayhar Tousi once, then Mahyar Tousi twice, then GB News again (over 2 hours).
And I have spent a fair bit of it praising Mr Justice Goose, the judge who had to sentence the vile child murderer, Axel Rudakubana. If you’ve listened to or read the 2 pieces on Contempt of Court, you’ll know I wasn’t expecting a Judge who was a wallflower.
But he impressed me early on with this exchange:
Mr Justice Goose says back: "You’ve chosen this moment to say this. These proceedings are being conducted under my control Mr Rudakubana - do you understand? Not yours!"
And exchanges like it are absolutely vital, if we are to uphold the Rule of Law. Why?
