Steven I have listened to you today, and loved it. Unfortunately the sound is not the best, you will improve this I’m sure.

Keep the good work up.

Have a nice weekend.

The sound is appalling - I've just now worked out it is the phone itself. Which is why I once got pulled live off LBC - it must have done that cutting out thing, but we always blamed reception!

Will sort 😊

Thank you, Steven. I just love the way you make the law interesting. I had no idea our law was like two streams merging. I knew about common law but I am really interested in the equity side of it. I often think I should have been born in a more romantic age as I love such things as chivalry, honour and bravery so I would love to learn more about it. I want our democracy to endure and that is my driving goal. I agree that our first past the post system may not be perfect but it is about the best system there is and I am not a fan of PR as I feel it pushes out the demos. Taking of the demos, my MP is not prepared to see 65 of us together but will see a small group but, to make the point, we will all turn up at the surgery and all the rest will politely wait outside in their cars. We have a list of questions and concerns for her and one of them is about digital ID and our other concerns are about decisions being made such as Chagos but not put before Parliament and the general direction of travel of this government which appears to be more legislation and less honesty. We will also bring up the heating allowance for pensioners and, of course, farming. We did suggest she came to the village hall but she is 'too busy'. We have taken a step andI shall report back. Have a lovely weekend and the same to everyone this group.

That is very kind of you. Let's see how we get on. I have some experience as I used to work with De Beers and had to deal with politicians back in the day. If I feel I am out of my depth, I shall call for help but I am a feisty old gal! Get some down time, you have been working your socks off.

I wish!! Thank you very much. I am just passionate about keeping our democracy healthy. So many people gave their lives so that we could live in freedom and what I am seeing at the moment is horrifying me. The Conservatives were ad enough anything but conservative but we need to dismantle everything Blair put into place, stripping our democracy away, and get back to an accountable Parliament. I am quite feisty. I am half Italian so we can blame it on that! Enjoy your weekend.

Hi Steven and Bella.

I have a suggestion on knife crime.

I believe it's time to hold the parents accountable for their child carrying a knife , I don't know if we have a law similar to "delinquency of a minor " , but maybe if we start charging the parents, the parents will do something?

(Obviously parents of children in care would not )

If these children really love their parents (and the parents always say they were good kids ) then they stop carrying knives .

All the best and have a lovely week 😘

We do ... we always have a law 😊

Maybe we should start enforce it , instead of blaming the amazon.

Hi Steven. I've just watched your video and find that I was rather disappointed by this one. A lot of time was spent on Equity, but my question was not responded to at all. I may be incorrect, but I think that other questions were also not answered. Given that my question was supported by 7 other people, I rather thought it would be addressed. I'm sure that you will look into this so that questions are addressed.

Thank you in advance

Jane

Hi Steven, just listened to your interesting live chat. Sorry wasn’t able to join live. I do love listening about how our law works. I have been having a long email dialogue with the latest mp seat incumbent in my area (libdem) who is insistent on any enquiries into the rape gangs (he refuses calling them rape gangs and consistently calls them grooming gangs) must only be on any new cases and not dig up old ground (his words), and he stands by the Jay report that all demographics rape. I’m on my 4th response reiterating an independent enquiry into those who have covered it up over the decades. Without this, there is no justice and reminding him that one on one rape is VERY different to multiple gang rapes. Is there a legal definition I could use to make him sit up straight in fright and listen to what I’m saying to him?

Nothing I can think of, but he is being deliberately obtuse - you can always tell him you will make his view public and tell me (that will get his attention)

Thank you Steven, I will do that!
