Hi Steven, you did say there is no such thing as a stupid question, so could you clarify please, I just read on Wikipedia the Act of Indemnity was repealed by the Stature Law Revision Act 1948, are you saying Parliment creats a specific Act of Indemnity to pardon covid convictions etc?
I have just listened for the second time as I want to ensure I take it all in. Parliament should pardon all of the people who were charged during Covid specially now we know that most of it was done to look as if politicians were doing something rather than evidence. As for the political prisoners, all of hem who wrote something or were only protesting should be pardoned. If Parliament is the voice of the people, Parliament needs to grow some muscles and start acting like it rather than acting with ineptitude. Thank you, once again, Steven.
Thank you, Steven, for another informative episode. Looking at the comment beneath mine, I am wondering if I have got it wrong. As I understand it, Parliament is supreme because Parliament represents we, the people, of this land. Therefore, we are supreme. Please correct me if I am wrong as I do want to understand this properly. Parliament (therefore we, the people) really needs to grow some muscles as I have not seen them strong and courageous at all. What infuriates me is when they get up and say things such as, 'That is the Bank of England's decision' or 'The Office of Budget Responsibility'. No, I want the people who represent us to be accountable and then if we do not like what they are doing, we say, 'Goodbye thank you very much but it is time for you to use the exit door'. If Parliament is weak then we are weak because they represent us. I really enjoyed this episode. Have a lovely evening and blessed Sunday.
Thank you. I believe it is a pretence and they could keep that up when they they continually said it was down The EU and now they often say it is international law but if those international laws have not been passed by Parliament then that is untrue. I can see why one could study this for a long time. It is an engrossing subject. Have a relaxing evening especially after your excellent appearance on Nan's show.x
Im not sure where to ask this as I am out of my depth! It’s interesting and I think very important to understand but I only get parts of it… perhaps it will get easier with repeated listenings!
However, I would like to ask a question. Here goes… Would parliament be able to pass a law which states that our leaders- PMs, MPs, mayors, all the way down to local government representatives- can only be people who have been born and lived here most of their lives; have only British citizenship ie no dual nationality to ensure that they are fully invested in the UK; and are culturally Christian (because we are a culturally Christian nation ie not Islamic, Hindu etc)?
If yes, who could do it and could it be stopped if leftists wanted to block it or reverse it?
Hello Steven thank you for a really interesting podcast episode. It’s no surprise to learn that the Bollard would put so much store in international law and everything else that is against this country and its people… great to learn about Acts of Indemnity and what they are, again though the Bollard wouldn’t do this for ‘rioters’ ‘far right thugs’ if his life depended on it, he is the antithesis of Donald Trump and of democracy.
Have a lovely evening, hoping you and small are very well 🙂

I am enjoying listening to your talks.
Thank you.
I'm saying that, if that's what the 1948 Act does, then Parliament can repeal the 1948 Act 😇
Many thanks Steven

Yes, if Parliament pretends to be weak, then we are weak (but it is only a pretence) x

Yes they can do it, no they can't make it permanent
Let me try and address this in Episode 6 😊

Same to all in this lovely community 👍
The supremacy of Parliament does not exist.
The people stand above Parliament and stand above the King.
They are our servants.
To thinks otherwise is to the prejudice of the people.
Then again the King or Queen should refuse to sign all Legislation that harms the people.
They have been derelict in their duties for hundreds of years.
If the people are above Parliament, what is our equivalent to the American Impeachment, whereby we can hold the PM to account and fire him?
We have no confidence in our Parliament now days i think .....Thank you Steven x
I've just watched the footage. I'm beyond horrified. My Irish grandparents are spinning in their graves 😢
